A newfound friend in the world of blogging recently captured my thoughts exactly in her post.  I love this post it goes right along with what I have been thinking about as well. The other day my husband and I were discussing how that it’s strange a long skirt or a head covering can cause so many negative responses or comments.  As a Christian such outward acts can cause people to be embarrased to be with you, when they wouldn’t say a word if you expressed your individuality in other ways such as with immodest dress or interesting body piercings, etc.  This is true even amongst our Christian friends.

God’s Word is very strong when it says in James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
The world is the culture of today, cultural Christianity sounds like worldly Christianity to me.  Enmity is a strong word, meaning ‘hatred’ which is the opposite of love for God.  Who do we really love?  God or the World?  There really is no in between, that’s called being luke warm (Revelation 3:16).
